Everyone knows We-Vibe, the innovative company, brand, and couples toy that changed the role of toys during sex. The brand is pushing beyond their already famed label and they’re trying to give us-ladies, even more to work with. This is my take on one of their new toys, the We-Vibe Touch. This thing seems like its basic, and yet the simple contours tell a much deeper story.
My We-Vibe Touch is in the shade of Ruby. So pretty, I love the color. It’s a rechargeable clitoral vibrator that is covered in silicone and it has a strategically placed button for operation. Aside from being rechargeable, it’s waterproof, and that’s always awesome. In terms of the actual charging cable – that’s the only problem that I have with this toy. It may just be me, and maybe it’s just my preference and what I am used to…but this charges via a cable, that attaches to a dome, the dome magnetically clicks to the Touch vibe contact, for powering up. The dome can come off from the cable. Therein lays the problem. If I charge this on a night stand and something awkward happens and the dome comes off and falls behind the furniture, it would be a pain to retrieve. Or if the dome were to get lost at all…you’d be screwed. Rationally speaking: if you lose anything that belongs with any product, you’re going to be upset. Solution, just keep track of the pieces. My little peeve is just that there is more to the charging than *cable, *toy – communication. Oh well!!! It’s worth it, but I just had to include that little bit because I’ve never come across a little attachment that is so crucial, and has the possibility of coming free. You know me, just paranoid!
Now, onto the juicy stuff! This toy was a surprise to me because I didn’t expect to see such a uniquely shaped clitoral stimulator from We-Vibe. I don’t know why I thought that way, the man behind these creations is an engineer, and he’s obviously known to be full of surprises, and good ones, too. I’m just thankful for his positive thinking. The shape is pretty distinct. At first glance, this thing reminded me of a talon, or a tongue of some sort. I haven’t seen anything like this silhouette, but I am sure that there will be copy-cats popping up. The tip of the vibrator comes to a soft point and it curves down into the clitoris, equipped with a little, smooth divot that can even cup the area if you’d prefer. The opposite end has a flat side that has a circular pad-area and in the middle of that is a single button. You click it on, then take yourself higher through the settings into more power and then into pulsation patterns. To turn off, just hold the button down for a couple seconds. It’s super-easy to control. The exterior circle in the button area is where it magnetically clicks to the charging dome. Cool!
The We-Vibe Touch is covered in a smooth silicone that is squeaky-smooth to the touch. It’s the type that easily picks up fibers and drags on some surfaces. I was a little worried about how that would work out, if things got slippery. (Safe for water-based lubes.) But when it came down to it, I noticed that the texture of the silicone aided during masturbation because it helped the fingertips gain traction and grip the vibrator really well. This made it really easy to maneuver the vibe to where I wanted it, and I was able to hold it firmly where I wanted it best. Double-score! Next hurdle to overcome is how the buttons interact with the fingers during use…does a finger accidentally slip and change the mode? Nope! Because the control button is in the very top of the vibe, your fingers never roam up there. The way I hold the Touch is either on the sides of it, or on the thick part of its short shaft. When I say the “sides”, I mean this – I make a peace sign with my right hand and rest the top of the vibrator in between those two fingers and guide the tip down into my clit while “forking” the vibe – if that makes sense to you. This makes a SUPER easy way to angle the bottom of the vibrator to give you great power where it’s needed. It’s also a great position if you like to control the pressure that’s used because it’s just a matter of changing the angle by bending your wrist. I love using the We-Vibe Touch for a quick roll of orgasms. No problem achieving them with this toy. The power is adequate, the patterns…wow. Here’s a first for me….I never pay too much attention to the vibrational patterns because I care more about intensity and power. One of the patterns that the Touch has – it is intense and it has a quick beat. It’s a great tease and it’s something that I spend time with. Any other day, you can just give me a vibrator with one mode – High. But this pattern in the Touch is going down in my books for being one of the only two vibrational patterns that are memorable for me. (The other being the throttling, rolling, trailing vibrations in the LELO Ina.)
I AM impressed. The texture had me thrown until it THREW me. Patterns are usually no big deal for me unless they distinguish themselves from the rest, and this thing has one that does. The power is always a gamble when it comes to affordable, rechargeable vibrators, but I cashed out this one with plenty of orgasms. We-Vibe Touch, you have me impressed!
