The comedic sex lovers of Pipedream Products have come out with a line of glass toys called Icicles. I really love the look of these toys and they are also pretty flawless. Within the line of glass toys, there will be something for each of you. This review is about a textured one, of course, because you know how much I love to “bump” it up a notch.
My 1st Icicle glass dildo is the Textured Teaser. It’s a clear, hand-blown glass piece that is 1.5” in diameter and it’s studded with sexy pink/fuchsia love bumps. Its total length is 5.75” and it has a beautiful crystal ball on the end/handle. The beauty of this glass piece is that it’s light-weight and non-porous. This gives you the ease of sterilization once you’re done with your toy. Now, I’ve gotten glass dildos from other countries and they were really heavy, so that was my basis for belief in glass; the thought that it was all going to be heavy. Those solid glass dildos that I had from the beginning of my glass collection were slightly dangerous, haha. I mean, I would thrust with them and I could damage myself if I wasn’t careful. I remember having one inside me and I thought it would be cool to roll over on my bed. Not Cool. Don’t do that. Stay in one position and remove to adjust yourself. It’s just safer that way, lol.
When I tried out my first Icicle, the Textured Teaser, I was really confused as to why it was so light and easy to maneuver. I guess the difference here would be the fact that Pipedream has their line hand-blown. That makes the glass easier for us to handle and have more fun with. I am thankful for this! The texture in this particular dildo is just right. It’s totally bumpy enough to get my texture-fix and it’s so smooth that I don’t overwork myself. For some reason it reminds me of an abstract pickle. No idea why. But I can’t get over that pretty crystal ball on the end! It makes me think of it as a beautiful dildo-wand or something. Plus, with that lovely ball, it’s fit for anal stimulation if any of you are crazy enough to try. As long as the dildo has a flared base or some way of stopping/plugging, then it will be safe for anal insertion.
Just as with all well-made glass toys, this Icicle is made to be a great candidate for temperature play. You can use it just as it is and get a cool sensation because the glass is naturally cool to the touch…or you could stick it in the freezer to really bring the chill. On the other hand, if you want to warm it up and make things a lil cozier instead of crazy, just run it under warm water and it will be warm to the touch. Just make sure that you give the dildo a break between heating and chilling it. It’s usually a bad idea to put glass through temperature trauma because it could crack. (My Pyrex bowl cracked, so now I am paranoid. But paranoid on the safe side is always good.)
I want to thank Pipedream Products for this review and for the introduction of their Icicle line of glass toys! I can’t wait to try #24, it looks like a pink tentacle and I’ve had my eye on it since the ANME Founders Show! Gah! In case you’ve noticed, I still plan on growing my Icicle collection, so that’s why I call my Teaser my “first” Icicle. Because I love them. =)
